Marigold’s is proudly owned and operated by sisters Kandelyne Wingate and Katelyn Taylor—two sisters with different strengths, a shared love of books, and a big belief in the power of community.

At its heart, Marigold’s is a shop built on family and based on community.

Kandelyne brings her whimsical, warm, and welcoming personality to the shop, while Katelyn brings her business-minded spirit and eye for making things happen. Together, their personalities make the perfect pairing for a bookstore that is both thoughtfully curated and full of heart.

OUR MISSION

To create a welcoming, community-centered bookstore where every reader can find a story that feels like it was chosen just for them—and where people can gather, connect, and feel at home.

We believe bookstores should be more than places to buy books. They should be places to discover, gather, celebrate, and belong.

That means creating a cozy atmosphere where you can browse without rushing, talk books with someone who gets it, discover your next favorite read, or simply spend a little time surrounded by stories.

WHAT MATTERS TO US

Community is at the heart of everything we do. From book clubs and author events to themed parties and community gatherings, we love creating opportunities for readers to connect with one another.

We believe in the magic of a really good book recommendation, too. Our shelves are thoughtfully curated with personalized recommendations and an eye toward current literary trends, but we're always happy to help you find the book you didn't know you were looking for.

Most importantly, we want Marigold’s to feel like a place where everyone belongs. A cozy place to browse, discover, gather with friends, meet fellow readers, or simply escape into a good story for a little while.

And if you happen to spot a friendly dog wandering between the shelves or a mischievous cat curled up somewhere unexpected, that's just part of the Marigold’s experience. Bonnie, our resident bookshop dog, is always happy to accept attention and treats, while Minerva the shop kitty prefers a good nap—with occasional bursts of playtime. They are as much a part of the cozy, slightly whimsical atmosphere as the books themselves.
